Big brother.

Yesterday was my brother’s 32nd birthday. It was a nice evening, spent with the whole family. There was cake, of course!
Also, a silly photo of us!

Monastery.

I was never religious but from a young age I’ve been fascinated with everything religion and churches. I don’t know what it is, but I just find it so interesting! There you go, one random fact about me.
Hope you’re having a wonderful week!
Something different.

I always hesitated about creating a public blog because I know I’m not one of those people that can keep posting all cheerful posts with good quality photos all.the.time. I can’t. Because sometimes you have other things on your mind so you don’t even think about bringing your camera with you; other times you just aren’t in a good mood and who wants to read some girl whining about her problems?
There’s also the professional side of it. I know a lot of people come here to see my photos and that’s it. I don’t mind. That’s what I want. I WANT people to see my photos and like them. Makes sense as I’ve always wanted photography to be my livelihood, right? But some days, like today, I feel the need to write and not be obligated to show you just pretty pictures. Because life happens. And it’s not always perfect. I said I wanted this to be a personal blog and this is, unfortunately, part of it.
So I’m not going to say today was a wonderful day. It wasn’t. Waking up to hear someone you love in pain is something I really don’t wish on anybody. Thankfully, things are a little better now but I’m exhausted. Pretty sure I’m going to spend the rest of the day watching TV shows and trying not to fall asleep before 10pm.
Just one more thing before I go: Call your parents/family today and tell them you love them.

Green everywhere.

Nothing beats a sunny afternoon spent seating on the grass & reading a good book.
I hope you’re all having a great weekend!
TV Tuesday: Downton Abbey
So this is a new segment on the blog. Every week (or every other week, still thinking about that) I’ll post about tv shows I’m watching (or have watched in the past) and love.
Downton Abbey is a british drama set in the years leading up to World War I, and it centers on a family (the Crawleys) and their servants.
I love everything about the show. The stories, the acting, the dialogues, the sets, the clothes. Everything is extremely well done, so much so that critics have been raving about it. I would love nothing more than a chance to take photos on those sets!
I won’t tell you much more about it, because you just seriously HAVE TO watch it. Plus, I don’t wanna spoil anyone!

Monday.

The last few days haven’t been that eventful, hence the lack of updates. A member of my family has been home, sick, and I’ve basically been spending time with her. We’re lucky I can actually be here to keep her company. Today was our first outing in a few days. We went for a little walk and then to a café near the apartment. It’s a beautiful day and we didn’t wanna miss the sunshine.
Hope you all have a great week!
