Sunday brunch.

My best friend, Filipa, and I are foodies. We’re also broke young adults so we can’t go out to eat as much as we’d like. But every once in a while we make time and save some cash to go on an eating spree. We like to try new places as much as we can.
Today we went to Magnolia Caffé for brunch because it was recommended to us. Now just so you understand how much we ate, let me tell you… it’s 9 pm and I’m still not hungry. Yeah.
Honestly the food wasn’t super amazing. I mean, those muffins were the bomb, but some of the other foods didn’t make me go wow. But it’s cheap, and a buffet, so we definitely weren’t complaining. The place itself has a nice feel to it, super relaxed but not especially cosy. There were families, and also big groups of friends. We spent two and a half hours eating and talking (we are talkers, especially when it’s just the two of us).
It was a good sunday morning, but I still haven’t found my go-to brunch place in Lisbon!
See you soon, Maria.
Today I had breakfast with my girls so we could be together one last time before our friend Maria moves to London. Almost all my (best) friends are moving/have already moved abroad so it’s tough watching them leave. Not much longer till it’s my turn though, if things go well.
I hate goodbyes so I usually just say “See you soon!” because it sounds much better.
Life.

Sorry I haven’t been posting much lately. Life gets in the way sometimes.
I’m now job hunting which is sooo much fun as you all know. I love photography but right now I find myself wanting a steadier job. Unfortunately, being a freelance artist makes it hard(er) to pay the bills. It’s ok though, I like trying new things and hey, maybe I’ll fall in love with something different (don’t worry, I will NEVER stop taking photos). It’s all about the experience, right?
I promise I’ll have brand new photos and (hopefully good!) news soon. Wish me luck!
Girls day out.
Last Friday my best friend and I had a girls day out. Well, more like a girls afternoon out but we’ll take what we can get. We aren’t together as much as we’d like these days but such is life.
We had a delicious lunch (we’re both foodies and love to try new foods) at a restaurant in Lisbon called Fábulas. Unfortunately I didn’t take pics of the food because it was just too dark. But anyway, it’s a great place to hang out for a few hours, talking to a friend. And the food was amazing!
After lunch we just hung out and talked non stop. You know you really like being with someone when, no matter how many times you’re together, there’s always something to talk about, and it’s never boring.
Lisbon, Portugal.
Taking a break from the London posts (so.many.photos.to.choose.from), today’s the day to show you a bit of my hometown.
I may be biased but Lisbon is awesome. I frequently like to take the time to actually look at it (kind of like a tourist, really) and absorb all the awesomeness. That’s exactly what I did yesterday. I had a free day so I made plans with my friend Filipa so we could spend the day together.
We went to the flea market in the morning. I always like going there. I don’t think I’ve ever actually bought anything (maybe I did and don’t remember) but it’s fun to go there and see the things that are for sale. Plus, it’s great for people watching. I did see a film camera that I’ve been wanting to buy for a while but it was waaaay too expensive. I think I’ll buy it online!
After the flea market Filipa and I went to a little café called Vertigo to have lunch. We both had bagels+salad and it was the perfect lunch after all that walking.
There was time for the gym because we, girls, like to be healthy (even if we did eat frozen yogurt immediately after the gym haha). And boy, I suffered. I hadn’t been to the gym and worked out for real for a while because I was sick. Well, I’m not sick anymore so I wanted to have a proper workout. I pushed myself really hard… and today I’m paying for it. It hurts to move!
It was a great, fun, tiring day. And it ended perfectly because after all that I went to my sister’s house to celebrate my niece’s 7th birthday. And to meet the new member of our family… a puppy! I’m gonna have to show her off soon. I believe I’m in love.
Anyway, here are the photos we took during the day!
