Dailies.

These have been my days. I’ve been pretty busy, between editing photos, (trying to) work and dealing with some personal stuff. Y’know, life. I haven’t been taking that many photos with my DSLR, but I’ve made it a point to use my phone to sort of document some of my daily life.
As you see there’s been a lot of delicious food (I’ll come back to that on another post, later this week), spending time with the fam, etc. Nothing too extraordinary.
I’m getting antsy for the arrival of real Spring. Sun, beautiful days, dresses! I think I’ll have to wait till May though.
What about you, how have you been?
Hope you’re having a good monday!
Big brother.

Yesterday was my brother’s 32nd birthday. It was a nice evening, spent with the whole family. There was cake, of course!
Also, a silly photo of us!

Monday.

The last few days haven’t been that eventful, hence the lack of updates. A member of my family has been home, sick, and I’ve basically been spending time with her. We’re lucky I can actually be here to keep her company. Today was our first outing in a few days. We went for a little walk and then to a café near the apartment. It’s a beautiful day and we didn’t wanna miss the sunshine.
Hope you all have a great week!
Pois, café!

Yesterday the day was all about hanging out with one of my best friends in the world. I don’t get to see him that often because he’s living in London, but that doesn’t matter. Things never change between us. I love that.
I’ll tell you all about our adventures another time because today it’s all about brunch!
We went to this place called Pois, café. It’s an austrian café located in Lisbon, near the Lisbon Cathedral.
This is one of my fav spots to have brunch in Lisbon right now. It’s cosy and inviting. The food is consistently good and the staff is nice.
As you can see in the photos there’s also something else that makes this a special place. There are books all over the café that you can take and read while you’re there, while you drink some tea and/or eat a slice of one of the amazing cakes and pies they offer.
Parabéns!

Today’s my father’s birthday.
There’s family, movies and cake. In my book that’s a good day.
Sunday brunch.

My best friend, Filipa, and I are foodies. We’re also broke young adults so we can’t go out to eat as much as we’d like. But every once in a while we make time and save some cash to go on an eating spree. We like to try new places as much as we can.
Today we went to Magnolia Caffé for brunch because it was recommended to us. Now just so you understand how much we ate, let me tell you… it’s 9 pm and I’m still not hungry. Yeah.
Honestly the food wasn’t super amazing. I mean, those muffins were the bomb, but some of the other foods didn’t make me go wow. But it’s cheap, and a buffet, so we definitely weren’t complaining. The place itself has a nice feel to it, super relaxed but not especially cosy. There were families, and also big groups of friends. We spent two and a half hours eating and talking (we are talkers, especially when it’s just the two of us).
It was a good sunday morning, but I still haven’t found my go-to brunch place in Lisbon!
See you soon, Maria.
Today I had breakfast with my girls so we could be together one last time before our friend Maria moves to London. Almost all my (best) friends are moving/have already moved abroad so it’s tough watching them leave. Not much longer till it’s my turn though, if things go well.
I hate goodbyes so I usually just say “See you soon!” because it sounds much better.
